I’m Živa Remec, a travel planner based in Slovenia and a Digital Project Manager. Two jobs that sound different, but they run on the same skill: taking something messy and making it feel simple. Great trips and great projects don’t happen by accident. Someone has to sit down and do the thinking. That’s the part I love.

Travel Planner Slovenia: My Journey to Intentional Travel Planning
I’ve always liked real-life puzzles. Not the abstract kind. The kind where people, timelines and expectations all move at once, and somebody needs to keep it together.
That’s what pulled me into digital project management and marketing strategy. Launches, teams, deadlines, a hundred small pieces that all have to land at the same time.
Then I noticed I was doing the exact same thing for every trip my friends took. The spreadsheets. The hut bookings. The “trust me, leave at 6, not 8”. Planning a trip is a project. A fun one, but still hours of research and a pile of small decisions.
And it has to happen. If nobody does it, the stress doesn’t go away. It just moves to the destination, and you spend your holiday figuring things out on the spot.
So now I do it for people who’d rather spend those hours living. Whether it’s custom travel planning, guided hiking in Slovenia or an e-commerce project, the job is the same: you hand me the chaos, I hand you back a clear plan and some free time.
I’m based in Slovenia and work with people all over Europe and beyond, so you get local know-how with an international eye.
